2012 Cambodian New Year Parade-Postponed

CAMBODIA TOWN, LONG BEACH, CA.  For the first time since 2005, the 8th annual Cambodian New Year Parade is postponed due to financial hardship. It is with great disappointment that we have to postpone the parade this year. We thank you for your continuous support and look forward to next year parade.

CAMBODIAN NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2012 IN LONG BEACH

Long Beach, CA – The Cambodian Coordinating Council (Cam-CC) is organizing the Cambodian New Year Celebration for the Cambodian community to celebrate the year of the Dragon. The Cambodian New Year Celebration 2012 will take place at El Dorado Park Regional Park, Area III on Saturday April 21, 2012.

Cambodian Community History & Archive Project (CamCHAP) was launched on May 16, 2011. The site focuses on the Cambodian history in Long Beach since migration of Cambodian to Long Beach in the early in 1970. The authors are anthropologists from CSUDH and CSULB who involved in the community for man years. Visit: http://www.camchap.org. The site are both in English in Khmer. The Khmer translation is in progress.
